On this weeks installment of High School Girl's, Eriko is traumatized by swimming class, Yuma's evil sister makes her debut and erm... yurified pubic hair removal...

It's swimming class, which evidently in this series means fanservice, although I didn't think it was quite as bad as the first two episodes (the second half of the episode is actually fanservice free!). But anyway, as it's swim class the girls are all getting changed into their swimsuits. Eriko does a Tomo from Azumanga Daioh and wears her swimsuit under her school uniform (A scene like this caused me to have Yomi's english dub voice echoing in my head going "really? how grade school!" for some reason. Perhaps I should seek counseling). Meanwhile, it transpires that Ayano has forgot to wax her bikini line and she's afraid the high cut bathing suit will... well leave her pubic hair sticking out. Fortunately Yuma is on hand to remove them for her... which makes for a hilarious yurified scene with a strategically placed desk and the horrified looks on the other girls faces only adding to a genuinely funny moment.

The macho swim teacher isn't a character I particularly like, based largely on the fact I find it impossible to look at him for more than a few seconds at a time before my eyes melt I have to look away again. The anime goes overboard to show what a scary, scary vastly hairy guy he is (lots of closeups of his body, including his crotch) and his antics here are funny if rather traumatizing to subject yourself to watching.

Eriko (who to put it bluntly can't swim at all really) is given a personal lesson by the ever scary teacher. He seems genuine in his efforts to help her but his rather hands on approach leaves her a emotional wreck by the end of his swimming crash course. I feel guilty laughing at Eriko's emotional trauma here, but it was done in such a slapstick and way I couldn't help it.

A "beautiful girl" that Eriko met at the beginning of the episode turns out to be Yuma's sister Momoka. She seems kind, sweet, goes down a hit with everyone.., however as soon as she puts in an appearance Yuma leaves looking very angry. It's clear that Yuma's sister isn't what she seems on the surface (obviously from reading the manga I knew this already)

See! I told you, just look at the picture it's OBVIOUS she's evil. When Momoka finds out about Ayano's boyfriend she has a plan up her sleeve and her spiteful side comes through. Could Joshi Kousei be doing a storyline with a hint of drama to it? Surely not!

Yes drama! Momoka triggers problems for Ayano and her boyfriend, but frames Yuma for it! Obviously Momoka herself is hiding behind her "angelic" image at school as nobody would suspect her of doing such a thing. It's a rather cliched storyline of friendship being tested that's appearing here, but hey has the anime actually had a storyline of any kind before this point?

Ayano slaps Yuma! And Yuma storms off! A cliffhanger in a comedy show? Yep thats what we got. There's a slight bit of drama here and even a next episode preview that feels a bit more serious. To be honest I'd rather they just stuck with the madcap comedy, Yuma's sister is one of the dullest manga characters and doesn't deserve to be in two episodes. There's plenty of funnier bits from the manga that demand to be covered, so hopefully this story will be wrapped up soon and the anime will move onto those. Overall not a bad episode though, the first half kept me entertained a lot more than the second though. Down with Momoka (who I didn't think looked anything like her manga version)!

After watching Keroro Gunso, I tend to think of any character called Momoka as having multiple personalities. :P

Oddly enough I started watching Keroro Gunso for the first time after watching this very episode of Girl's High!

Finally, some cock-shots of the buff gym teacher to balance out the panty-shot overload of these past episodes.

I love how Eriko automatically assumes that Yuma is holding her shit when she lost in lost in thought Is silence a direct result of constipation in anime?

I actually find the "macho fanservice" in this episode mildly traumatizing myself *laughs*.
